This prominent and decorative Victorian pub on a busy route into Birmingham's business centre stood derelict for many years and required a complete strip out prior to works to construct an extension to house new lounge areas, back of house services and a huge decked patio at the rear.
TibbattsKirkAbel respected the building's heritage by maintaining and refurbishing original decorative tiles to the hallway and staircase, and replacing cornicing and timber details where previously removed or destroyed. These details were further enhanced by installing a contrasting pared down and contemporary interior scheme of the highest quality.
The King's Head quickly became one of Birmingham's most popular venues for dining and socialising.
